edm: folds
I'm so happy I finished my assignments and/or challenges! As you can see this is my "folds" submission. After years of just using my pen for scrapbooking and crafts, it's refreshing to use a pencil and try my hand at recovering that inner artist tht drown in a bottle years ago. Some of u know my story of wanting to get that "flow" of creativity back that I had when I was drinking some 6 years ago. I REALLY feel like I've tapped into that "flow"- so now I can pick up where I left off. I owe this to my yahoo groups (everyday matter's in particular!) that gave me a reason to pick up that pencil and practice a little everyday. Now my confidence and my way of seeing has improved over these past few weeks!!! YAY!! What a great feeling- and ONLY another artist knows how this feels- "We are alive when we create."

Beautifully done - the fabric looks soft, and the shading is absolutely convincing.
This is just wonderful! Who would have thought of using jeans for folds.
Yay! I'm so happy that you're rediscovering yourself! This drawing of jeans for the folds challenge is absolutely awesome!
I trust you've discovered Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way...? She wrote it as a result of getting sober and FEARING she'd lost her creativity. She did so well with her personal plan people asked her to teach them... and eventually she wrote the book. It works for anybody who has, ahem, a spot of dysfunction to overcome.
So glad you are drawing again. Your folds are beautifully articulated. I also support your sobriety! Cheers for you!
Hey, we were on the same wave length this week, I did jeans for my fold challenge too, just didn't get a chance to post. Yours came out great!!!
It's simply amazing the detail, yet softness you created with this. Well done!
